Also got my FL tail lights and kufatec adapter harnesses.. unfortunately the harnesses were for a 4 pin connector, not the 8.
Also turns out the tail lights are "Euro / RW" Spec, not NA.. was not expecting that but i have no issue with non-NA parts
Started to de-pin the adapters.. hopefully finish this up after work today

So at lunch I swapped out pins on one side, hooked it up and nothing worked. According to another thread: "Pre-FL models can use either taillight as a direct swap without any modification to coding."

Should I try both lights and see how it goes or try the US spec wiring (swapping pins 2 & 3)

Any insight would be great. Thanks!

This is exactly what I was referring to. The tail lights are "RW" so I wired as such, I will try the "US" spec after work and see if it works. Thanks

Does anyone have a pinout for the wiring so I can try to bench test the lights before installing them?
They were sold to me as "new" but.. you never know. Thanks

Models MY2009-2012 require adaptation channels to use RW tail lights
You need something like this

I have the adaptation channels for EU MY2014

^ Appreciate the diagram!

Turns out I was at fault for them not working. I only hooked up one of the FL tails then tested it and it did not work even though one of the stock non-fl tails was connected.
As soon as I hooked up the other side everything worked as it should using the straight thru "RW" wiring.
Thats what I get for being cautious and checking things work before moving on! haha

Hoping I will have time to install some more of the parts this weekend.

So I had some time yesterday to mess with some small stuff:
034 Trans Mount Insert

As simple of an install as could be expected. As someone who makes machined parts I can appreciate the quality of the piece. I only drove the car for a few miles so not sure if there is any noticeable difference TO ME. I know others have reported smoother shifting etc. We will see if I notice anything when I drive the car more

Also took off the stock turbo inlet pipe. The cts one does not fit.. apparently all B8 pieces wont fit. I guess I got the impression that ALL b8 a4/a5 stuff fit (seeing as donwpipes/intercoolers/turbos/intakes all are interchangeable), but this appears to be an exception. You can see in the photos the angle is wrong and the length is incorrect.

Put in an email with a local company about making me a custom one, would rather do this than make a universal piece "work". I know the gains are not worth the costs, but for me I just do not like the look of the stock accordion piece. Any "gains" would just be a bonus for me anyways.

Also replaced my broken lower tail light. wasn't waiting for insurance to get that handled.

Spijun,

Does this mean that you have the codes required to make the USA FL tailights "blink" like EU FL tail lights?
