Default New lugs for new Audi S5 wheels on my Q5?

Hi!

I just purchased a 2011 Q5 and I am going to change the wheels to 19 in. peelers.

The original wheels are 19 in. x 8.5.

The new wheels are off an S5 and are 19 in. by 9 in.

Will I need new lug nuts Because they are not Q5 wheels?

The Hartmann websites says that Q5 and SQ5 lugs or vehicle specific and lugs from other Audi models will not fit.

Apparently Audi Q5 and SQ5 OEM wheels use a ball seat lug bolt that is different from the rest of the Audi line?

Is this correct and how would it affect me?

Has anyone here purchased OEM wheels from another Audi model?

Should I get lugs for an A5/S5 ?

Are the lugs the same for a specific model, regardless of which wheels you have?

THANKS!

Ben.

P.S. Chrome lugs obviously but I also want a set of locking lugs.

This is what I am purchasing.

I think this explains the difference in the lug bolts (cone vs radius seats)

Acoording to Achtuning, Q5 and Q7 uses R14 ball seat bolt instead of R13. Since they are S5 wheels, you would probably need new bolts... Also, Q5 bolts are 30mm instead of 28mm.

Hartmann 14mm diameter lug bolts for Audi (sold in sets of 10 lugs)

I'm just sharing what I read. :-)

For the lenght, it depends if it's the wheel or hub that is thicker on the Q5.

Try contacting Achtuning. They should be able to help you.

Achtuning and Hartmann are now one and the same and they sell their brand. They only talk about what works on their wheels,

I was hoping for someone here who had used wheels from another Audi model on a Q5.

Thanks

Another option would be to just get Q5 peelers. They came with the Sline package for several years through 2012.

For the Audi original wheels, not for aftermarket or replica

Bolts for Q5 is M14x1,5x45 same use on Q3, A8

Bolts for S4 is M14x1,5x27 same use on A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A7, TT

Q7 uses a R14 ball seat bolt with a 19mm head vs 17mm for the Q5 and other Audi

So, it seems like I WOULD use the existing bolts on the Audi Q5: Bolts for Q5 is M14x1,5x45?

Ignore than Hartmann says at Hartmann Wheels - Audi Wheels, stock replicas - hartmannwheels.com about the radius being different and new lugs being required? Because they are referring to aftermarket?

"Audi B8 Q5: 2009+ (19" ET38, 19" ET25, 20" ET29) *New lugbolts required"

I am not sure what the "Bolt head" refers to...the same thing?

Thanks again,

Ben
