Hydrogen is awesome technology, and would be great if we were living in Iceland where generator stations are a plenty. Water emissions. Great stuff. But also has carbon footprint with electricity used to make hydrogen fuel. Which comes mostly from coal right now.
However, renewable sources making it is also promising. And the fact it can be made on site, meaning no large trucks moving fuel all around the country. It's the future vs electric IMO, unless battery technology grows leaps and bounds. As distance is so limited. Perhaps a blend of both of them.
As for the design. Crazy futuristic looking, while neat in a concept car, is not what I'd want everyday. Too many sharp lines and over the top angles with interior and exterior alike. I do like some of the lighting tech however.
Ultimately, not a fan of this design.

Confused by the article referring to it as the Q8. It's basically a hydrogen powered version of the Q6 etron Concept, which in some form will be launched here to battle the Tesla Model X. (Read: Expensive!) A plug-in hybrid is also rumored. Despite sharing the Q5's platform, it appears it won't be offered with conventional powertrains.

re Hotrodw's post.... My childhood friend has grown up into one of Colorado's most successful reconstructive dental surgeons and has a new Model X. I've asked her how the cold mornings and ski resort trips and heater being ON affects the X's range. She has not replied. Friends to the end.....I guess the end is when you start questioning a $132,000 dream car purchase.
