Audi needs to make their manuals available for free electronic download from their website as well. How can a otherwise premium vehicle not have this available when Toyota and many others have it.

Couldn't agree more. Given all the money Audi spends on marketing you would think they would throw some more coin to the website. The Q5 S-Line+ package image on the website still shows a faint Audi logo after 6 months of being able to build a 2014. Are they waiting for the AoA summer intern to start? How hard is it to upload an image of the 20" titanium peelers?

The Audi web site is definitely more sizzle than steak, and the build/configurator needs some work... First off, it's very browser dependent. On Chrome, many of the configurator features / moueovers don't work properly (though they seem to have done some bug fixes in the past few weeks), but on Firefox, the work o.k. Not having your web site tested and working properly on a browser that currently has a 56% market share (more than double #2, Firefox) is pretty inexcusable.
The configurator also isn't updated with ordering restrictions and available options. Two quick examples: web allows you to build any Q5 in Daytona Gray, not just the S-Line, and doesn't show power liftgate as option on Premium level... *Many* other inconsistencies as well.
This definitely isn't unique to Audi. It seems more often than not car manufacturers let the graphics/marketing guys have free reign on the web sites with actual details on different options and configurations. I was playing with the C7 corvette configurator last night... Buggier than a border town taco joint.
The 'inventory' section also really sucks... I've been scouring the local and semi-local dealerships for colors/options that would work for me on a new Q5, most of the time they are lacking in any details other than MSRP and colors. Sometimes they list packages and options in the 'packages and options' section, other times they just list every standard feature that comes with a Q5 with no detail on the particular config of that car... Useless!
When I was shopping for an F150 a while back, I loved that not only could I sort through all the dealers inventory by some major features (like trim level), but I could actually pull up a pdf version of the exact window sticker on any truck that look interesting, even if it was still in transit!
