TDI, Tech and luxury packages. Opted out of the Bang sound system. Not enough bang for the bucks, for me.

Sports interior, panoramic roof (wouldn't buy a wagon, cross over, or SUV without a panoramic sunroof - I've had one on my 2006 xt Subaru since 2005 and that one is even better since it open all the way not just halfway like the Q5), and ability to remove chrome door handles (seriously audi...chrome handles?)

Definitely regret not getting the backup camera! Not just for it's own sake but also for the front sonar.

I agree with others on the pano roof. I know some will argue that you loose some rigidity in the roof and thus impact handling, but it's a CUV. :-)

The other option I feed is a must have is the backup camera. It's a shame that the NHTSA mandated backup camera on all new cars got pushed back to 2019.

How is the image quality of the backup camera on the Q5? I saw one this weekend... it was OK... not particularly sharp.

On a related note, the new Macan owners are complaining about this quite a bit: a lot of their backup cameras appear to be very fuzzy/out of focus.

For me, the picture quality is decent, especially consider it's intended purpose. I have not had any issues with the picture quality being fuzzy.

Same. You're only going to get so much quality out of a tiny camera like that, and as the goal is to be able to see things in your rear blind spot it works great for that purpose. No, you won't be picking out fine details, but you don't need to and I've never been distracted by anything looking particularly blurry. Seems perfectly fine to me; not sure if Porsche is using the same camera system or a different one, but it sounds like there's various issues they're having on the Macan that we don't have on the Q5 so it's possible they really do have a problem vs. just having much-higher expectations.
