Remote Starter Install - Who has one?

I've only been out at -20F, never -45, although the wind chill might have freeze soaked the car down to there. But then again, I didn't really want the car warmed up, because I had no intention of taking off my parka. Which was sometimes mistaken for a sleepy passenger, if I put it in the seat next to me.<G>

Wind chill has no effect on inanimate objects like cars etc. It's effects are felt on skin etc. So if it's -20 temperature outside that's the effect on the car. Either way, it's cold and it's coming again at least around here.

I realize if you are in Texas this discussion is meaningless, but trust me when I say remote start is huge for us up here. I passed on Porsche because of it. Although maybe Audi is going to be just as troublesome!

That's just not fair. That means exactly what freezes how fast? My brother lived in WI. He said your nose hair and a lot more would freeze in seconds there. That just sounds like humans should leave the place....

I work in an audio/alarm shop. I can tell you there is a module from Fortin's to do the bypass, but you will loose the valet key in order to do it. This key will be hidden inside the vehicle.

This is true. However, the car will cool down to that temperature more quickly when there is a wind.

Ah I thought Fortin did one. So the bypass makes this job no different than a domestic job then?
