Default Seat memory issue

Today I entered my car and noticed that the seat was not to the correct position. I pressed the memory button and saw the mirror moved to the correct setting but the seat didn't move. I manually set the position and then tried to store it in the memory (pressing the set button then 1). Nothing happened. No Bip. I tried the other setting. The mirror moved but not the seat.

I tried several times with button 1 and 2 and nothing. Only the mirrors change to the previous stored positions.

Any idea what could be wrong? It is not a user issue. I have the car for the past 5 years and I know how it works. I am looking for a technical solution.

Thank you

Martin

Was your key in the ignition and the car on? It's been my experience that it only works when the car is off and the key is in proximity

I tried both.

As I said it was working before. Something must be broken. I don't know what.

Well, it looks like the seat controler was in some kind of safe mode. I made my seat move in all the directions possible up to a stop. Turn off and turn on the car and I was enable to use the memory again.

Thank you

If you ever unplug a door control module for the windows the same thing will happen. The express up and down feature won't work until you open and close the window to its max positions. Didn't know the seats behaved the same way. Good to know.
