Interesting... They claim it is much better than V1. So we are very lucky to get it here ha-ha-ha Probably in reality they took some shortcut to make it cheaper and sacrificed some essential amenity, and then bribed auto magazines to tout how much better it is.

Just installed Nokian Hakka SUV R2 on my wife's 2015 Q5 TDI So far as good as advertised. I have had DM V1 on my 09 Touareg now for the 5 seasons.
(this will be the last) I have been very happy with these tires obviously they have
lasted quite a while especially considering Touareg's tend to hard on tires.
I will probably replace them with Nokian Hakka SUV R2 next year.
Stud less snow tires are the way to go. I have been using them for 10 years
They keep getting better and better. I have had several sets of Blizzak ,Mich XI2,
I generally check the latest test reports and purchase according to results.
I Believe the best stud less Ice and snow tires at the moment are the Nokian Hakka R2 and SUV R2. With Blizzak WS80's and Mich XI3 extremely close. Good Luck

Just got my second set of Blizzak DM-V1 on my Q5.
The previous set lasted 4 winters. They could probably lasted another winter but I wanted to be on the safe side.
I love those tires.

Love the Blizzak DM-V1's on my Q5 as well - on their third winter and still working well. I would have to say though that I do have a slight preference for the studded Hakka 7's on my Kia and will have those (or whatever studded Nokian is current then) on the Audi when the DM-V1's are done.

I just put a set of 19" Pirelli Scorpion's on my q5. They are amazing on dry and have had a bit of snow and were super capable. I had a set of Michelin x-ice3's on my 09 A4 last year and while they were great in the snow they would drift all over the road during straight line highway driving. The pirellis seem to be the best of both worlds
