Default Spacers installation

I'm about to install my H&R spacers... Can/should I put anti-seize compound between the hub and spacer? Just at the center or on the whole surface?

Many thanks!

In some jurisdictions, certainly in Ontario Canada, the tread of the tire, when viewed from above , must be hidden by the bodywork. Never seen an Audi or other high priced German car break this rule but Jeep and pickup drivers seem to do so all the time.
I doubt one would ever get a ticket for this alone...but a bad tempered police officer and a mouthy driver might provoke one.

It is not mentioned in the video but then all those spacer fitments shown would be legal.

Default A man and his stick

So late on a Friday night I got my stick out.
I can see why others are going with a 12.5mm front / 20mm back spacers to get flush with the outside of the fender or the black fender extension piece (in front).
However I think my preference is to not have it flush but slightly tucked or measured to the inside of the fender. By my measurement/judgement this means 15mm rear spacers and no spacers up front.
I do want the front wheels to line up with the back when looking at it so would this setup throw that off and have some weird staggered look? I guess I could start with the back and add 5mm to the front if it starts to look weird. Also should I wait until I lower it 1.5 inches to measure or is the drop insignificant enough it won't have an impact?

Thanks

FWIW, 5mm spacers won't be hub centric (with the lip that interlocks to the wheel). They will basically just be a ginormous washer/shim. AFAIK in H&R the first size that gets to hub centric are some of the 12mm's. Not hub centric = more rich of vibration, probably may more so on a Q5 type sizing with very large diameters and lots of weight compared to many automotive fitments.

I agree with you on still keeping them tucked some. To me it doesn't look right for starters--too aftermarket, though that is aesthetic preference. Functionally, putting them virtually all the way out at top means road crud is going to splash down the sides meaningfully more--dirtier vehicle. Over the years if you are in a snow/ice environment that uses sand, any painted areas toward the lower part of the rear of the fender well will start to show sand blast/abrasion effect.
