SQ5 as a daily driver?

Coming up for 3 years in mine. (Knock on wood) No maintenance issues. Plenty of smiles each time I drive it. Steve

Purchased my new MY14 SQ5 in July 2014, so with just over 2 years and 56k miles later (long work commute) I still look forward to the morning and evening drives - couldn't be happier with it. I've also done some long drives with it; across a 10 day trip with ~2500 miles round trip from northern New England to Kentucky's prime Bourbon Distilleries; again a pleasure to drive over the long trips too!!

My wife uses our SQ5 as a DD and hasn't had any issues after right at 1 year. We got a set of 19" all season wheels/tires for winter/trips to the family up north otherwise no expenses out of the usual.
I would probably daily it if I didn't love my M3 so much.

I don't understand everyone's feeling of "harshness" in large wheels. Perhaps I'm used to it, but the performance payoff is huge, and if you want more options, 22" wheels open up the tire choices too. You don't always have to take a step down in size for more options.
The suspension on the Q is forgiving enough that on my wife's Q I don't feel any harshness on 22" wheels on 265/35

First, road quality. On smooth roads I would imagine the difference isn't recognizable. Off road or on roads in bad repair the difference is magnified.
Also, I'm not sure if you wife's Q is an SQ - the suspension is stiffer in the SQ. I didn't mention that in my original post - so the confusion is from me : )
As per gas mileage - I get about 17 or 18, but mostly city driving, maybe 50/30/20 city/suburb/highway. When I'm on the highway I get 24-26mpg, typically driving between 77 and 82 mph.

33k in a little under 18 months for me (a long work commute to work as well) with no issues to date. I bought new. As for gas mileage, my long term average has be 23.5+ mpg. But recently (not sure why) it has seemed to spike to 24.5-25 mpg. This is 80%+ highway at 70 mph, with some mild to all out acceleration bursts along the way. Still love driving it everyday.

1 year with the SQ5. Hwy mpg was 26 last month with avg speed about 80.
Side mirrors create a big blind spot.
21" low profile tires noisy on some highway pavement. I knew this going in and would rather have 21 for style with this car, but a 20" would be nice for our somewhat rough roads.
Technology is outdated as many have commented, no car is perfect. Slow to acquire bluetooth, etc.
Wish suspension was adjustable for truly aggressive driving, but it's not a Macan. Again, no car is perfect.
Doesn't burn oil.
