Do you use a specific quickdetailer or car wash soap for the Modesta? I really am intrigued by the addiitonal thickness the Modesta provides.

Did you use these guys?
AOWheels Paint Correction and Auto Detailing Specialist

Thanks,

Yes, I used Brian with AOWheels. He's a incredible detailer.
He was the first person in the USA to have Modesta, and he has more experience with it than any other detailer in the country.

Here are some pics when we picked up. Unfortunately, it wasn't a very sunny day. I'll take some pics in the sun the next time I wash the car.

Since ordering the SQ5 I have been doubting if I may the right decision on sepang blue. So glad you posted these pics as it has confirmed the choice was correct.

Is it standard for non European S model cars to come body colored mirrors. All S cars here have aluminium mirrors in the UK.

No, it's actually a paid option to switch to the colored ones. It's usually baked into the "Black Optics" (or similarly-named) package where they replace all the chrome trim with black.

No XPel on the SQ5.

There are only 2 installers in Orlando and they both are too expensive.

I only did my car because one of the installers had a special for $1400 + tax. He normally charges $1800, while the other guy is $1900.

We got the Black Optics pkg and that has body color mirrors.

If no black ops, then the SQ5 comes with aluminum mirrors.

Well, spoke to my dealer this AM and his system still does not reflect an actual date the car was loaded onto a carrier. He'll check again on Thursday as his system still hasn't been updated since March 26, two days prior to the Apollon Leader arrived in Emden and the time we "assumed" my car would be loaded on that tub.

Hell, the proverbial "slow boat to China" seems faster that what I'm experiencing.

Fingers crossed for ya to be on Apollon Leader (Emden 3.28 SD 4.22 per NYK) It goes from Emden to San Juan, to Kingston to Panama Canal and then on to San Diego.

But... if it missed the Apollon Leader.... then it looks like the next one is Altair Leader which is scheduled to arrive Emden on 4.11 and SD on 5.6
