Default SQ5 Suspension

Spijun, you may be able to help here.

I know the SQ5 does not have the ADS suspension on it, but what OEM shocks/strut assemblies does it run? Are they the same as Q5?

This Audi parts site I see has:
"Standard" suspension shocks
"Sport" suspension shocks
"Electronic" shocks which would be the ADS.

SHOCKS & COMPONENTS.. Fits: Audi SQ5 3.0L V6 Automatic | Mid Atlantic Audi

Are the sport suspensions only in the Euro SQ5? Or are the SQ5 shocks/struts different than the Q5?
I know our setups are different and springs are different compared to Euro SQ5.

Bilstein Shocks don't work with KW HAS, didn't know if OEM "Sport" suspension would have better compression/preload range on them.

In SQ5 are installed sport suspension shocks. There are two versions of the shock absorber in SQ5 (for gasoline and diesel version SQ5)

There are 4 versions for standard suspension shocks (depends on the engine and equipment) + hybrid version. In the standard version, there are 6 types of springs, by categories of weight vehicles

Just to clarify, rear shocks are the same on TFSI and TDI SQ5.

To resume, SQ5 uses different shock/spring than other Q5.

Regarding specifically the SQ5:

There are 3 different springs available for the front (TDI, TFSI normal height and TFSI lowered height). For the shock, there are two models (normal height and lowered height).

For the rear, there are two groups of spring (normal height and lowered height). Each group have many variations (4 last time I checked) to account for different equipments (sunroof and/or hitch). For the shocks, they all use the same model.

Last difference are bump stops. One for normal height and one for lowered height.

Got it. So SQ5 here gets sport suspension, and sport shocks & springs (regular height) along with it, but a different version of the sport shocks and springs (lowered height) in Europe.

Our suspension is different than every other Q5 model.

I was just wondering if our sport tuned shocks were rated differently or would perform differently, but if lowering a lot, it's not worth it.

Coilovers it is.

And a third version (lowered height) for ROW.
