Just measured the SQ5 in the driveway. Here is a list of drops compared to stock.

Front
-------
Wheel arch gap (4-1/2")
Ground to fender (31-3/4")
--
KW H.A.S. (0.2-2.6")
KWv1,2,3 Coils (1.6-3.1")
Bilstein PSS10 Coils (0.75"-2.0") (20-50mm)
H&R Street Performance Coils (1.5-2.5")
H&R sport -1 Springs (~1.6")
H&R sport -3 Springs (~1.0")
Eibach Springs (~1.2") (30mm)

Rear
------
Wheel arch gap (4-3/4")
Ground to fender (32-1/8")
--
KW H.A.S. (0.4-2.8")
KWv1,2,3 Coils (1.8-3.3")
Bilstein PSS10 Coils (1.25-2.0") (30-50mm)
H&R Street Performance Coils (1.5-2.7")
H&R sport -1 Springs (~1.5")
H&R sport -3 Springs (~0.8")
Eibach Springs (~1.0) (25mm)

That's assuming I picked the right PSS10 part numbers there are a bunch of them. I used the C7 (A6, S6, RS6, A7, RS7) setup since they don't make one for the Q5. @S-Fore has this setup running on his SQ5.

That's fine for some, but a lot of people want their car lower than that.

Might want to make the disclaimer that these drops are not for stock US SQ5s. I'm positive the HAS and H&R -3 values are wrong at least. Also, HAS only has a total range of ~1" (25mm) of adjustability not 2.4".

The amount misinformation around SQ5 drop heights is absurd. Why manufacturers and vendors can't distinguish between US and Euro suspensions at this point is beyond me. Of course H&R knew they had a problem for a loooong time without properly addressing it, so I guess they just don't care. At least they supply the proper springs now for the -3 (US SQ5) kit even though they still publish the drop w/r/t Euro SQ5s.

In regards to US SQ5:

Front
KW H.A.S: ~1.6-2.6" (40-65mm)

Rear
KW H.A.S: ~1.8-2.8" (45-70mm)

All recent H&R -3 installs are reporting a ~2" drop, which makes sense for a 1"/0.8" drop AFTER ~1.3" euro suspension diff.

What I don't understand is why H&R uses the same spring for the front as the -1 kit (Q5) if the suspension components are different...as stated earlier in this thread. Not to mention the SQ5 is ~70 lbs heavier than the 3.0T and ~330 lbs heavier than the 2.0T. Yet, they all apparently use the same H&R 29001-1 front spring. As a ME, I'm not impressed at all with H&R's R&D (or lack there of) and would never run their Q5/SQ5 springs due to the simple fact that the 2.0T and 3.0T clearly share the same kit regardless of the ~260 lbs difference if nothing else. Then, adding a $60k+ performance model (with 'sport' suspension) into the same front spring bucket after product release is really crossing the line...if that's indeed what they have done.

EDIT- sorry to beat the dead horse, but I thought it was relevant to the different suspension component discussion in this thread

I don't think you're beating a dead horse at all. There is a lot of misinformation out there. It's almost silly.

I got rid of the HAS and went with Bilstein coils 10-way damping, so I could fine tune it the way I liked.

And there again, Bilstein's B8 setup is for A4/S4. Which the curb weight is far lower than the SQ5. Which is why (based on the recommendation of several: @S-Fore, @Mops, and the Bilstein reps), I went with the C7 kit.
They both run the exact same sport shocks. But the sport spring weights are in line with the SQ. (only 121lbs difference).

C7 RS6 4.0T Curb weight (4,299 lbs.)
B8 SQ5 3.0T Curb weight (4,420 lbs.)
B8 S4 3.0T Curb weight (3,825 lbs.)

Adjustable is the only way to go if you're looking for fine tuning a height, and being able to control your damping.

I hate there is so much trial and error in it. But finding the right suspension makes all the difference in the handling, body roll, cornering, bounciness/rebound, harshness vs Comfort. It can make driving your car fun or miserable.
