Default Thinking of purchasing an RSQ5 mesh front grille. Opinions?

So I've been exploring some options for a mesh front RSQ5 grille for my wife's SQ5. I don't really know whether or not to go with the black surrounding frame or match what is there. I guess chrome or brushed aluminum. Amanda from JC Sportline was nice enough to send me a ton of photos last night of the grille. What do you guys/gals think? Opinions?

I am in the same boat. I have been really looking around and just dont feel comfortable with making a purchase on alibaba or ebay on such an item. I have heard there were issues with fitment but this is possibly only with the facelift models. If you dont mind me asking what was the price Amanda gave you shipped? Not sure on the sensor fitment but I believe in the SQ they are in the bumper and not in the grill so you may not use the ones in the above picture.

Hey, BrooklynSQ5. I'm definitely interested in doing the same for mine when it arrives later this month. I'm in Brooklyn, too. You think we could work together to get a better rate if we both bought one and had them shipped together?

I purchased from JC Sportline before and it was painless. Actually, over on AZ we did a mass group by for our A5 and they certainly lowered the price for us.

I would be down for a group buy. I believe we needed 10 people at the minimum. Can we get 7 more??

I shot my contact at JC Sportline an email regarding a group buy. Stand by.

I installed the same grille on our Q7. You can likely move/remove the parking sensor mounts (as someone said, on the SQ5 they are in the bumper). On the Q7 grille they had installed the sensor mounts in the wrong location, I simply yanked them off with some pressure (they're hot glued in) and installed them correctly with some adhesive.

I installed it on my 13 3.0T. There are good instructions here somewhere. Note that I did have to dremel off a fair amount at the bottom to fit flush. Don't forget to mask and paint (I used black plast-dip) your now " exposed" stainless bumper beam as the styrofoam " strip" will need to be removed. Suggest an extra set of hands to R&R the front " bumper" and a low, blanket covered bench to " rest" it on. This took me the better part of an afternoon and time/patience is require to do right. I'd call it a 5 on a 10 scale.
