Insert mounted. Observations: tighter shifts and almost no slap. A tad more vibration through steering wheel on hard acceleration but in general it feels 'crisper'. It's a keeper.

NorthValley, that's exactly how I would describe it. More vibration in the cockpit. Doesn't sound like a good thing. Vibration over time means quicker breakdown of components that are causing vibration. Not sure what is causing it though.

I don't feel vibration in the cockpit, just a tiny bit more through the steering wheel. It is very slight and definitely worth it for the smoother shifts. I hope you resolve your issue.

Cheers

The insert completely changed the way my Q5 drove. All the shifts are much smoother with the biggest difference b/w 1 and 2. I hated the lurch/downshift from 2 to 1 when coming to a stop. When I first got the Q5 I almost hit someone because of that downshift, and now I don't even feel it downshifting. I have't felt any unusual vibration. I would definitely recommend the insert! Made the Q5 so much more enjoyable.

I have noticed on our SQ5 after I did the 3 inserts that when I am go into Launch mode that the shifts are not nearly as jarring as they were when the inserts were not in place. Everything is firm and solid now.

I just did the transmission insert and cannot believe how much better shifts are - amazing change for the price and simplicity......

Default 2019 Q5 downshift jerking

New 2019 Q5. I’m experiencing the same downshifting shudder/jerking that a lot of others are also experiencing. I really hate it. I like everything else about the car but this really bothers me. I see the transmission mounts only fit on 2017 and earlier years. Anyone know of one I can use on a 2019? Really would like to fix this problem ASAP. Thanks for your help.

You should post your problem over on the Q5, GEN 2 forum (2018+.....)

You have a completely different trans than the Gen 1 Q5's.
