It is stowed in a little gap just behind the rear seats... Maybe it is there?

In what country? Not in the states. However it's possible the dealership made you think it was standard when you really paid for it. Check your invoice - they could have added it as a dealer accessory.

I believe it is not standard in the US, but is in most other countries. I got one.
