Default Wholes under / near fog lights

What are the wholes that are under the fog lights? In the front the facing the Q5 the left side fog light has a whole on the right side and the right side has a whole on the bottom left side.

Just curious as they seem to be created that way but not sure why?

"Hole" as in round open space. "Whole" as in, Whole Foods or "I can't believe I ate the whole [entire] thing."

you would need to be more specific or provide picture

usually its a handle for you to pull the cover off to access the fog light assembly without going through the fender liner

I'll take photos and post but I'm assuming it is normal since I believe they were in the same spot on both sides and likely is used to access the fog lights.

These are the holes that are near the foglights... I'm assuming this is standard.

Driver side fog light with small hole on left side

Passenger side fog light with small hole on bottom right side

If you get a light and look inside the holes, you will see what appear to be adjustment screws. I assume they are for aiming the fog lights. Please excuse the dirt
