Default Is it worth getting Opticoat Pro / Cquarts coating for new Q5

Hi,
I am expecting to get Delivery of my Q5 next week and was thinking weather I should get Opticoat Pro or C quartz coating for gloss look and paint protection done.
Has anyone got it done ?
Any recommendation?
And where can I get it done?

I have Opticoat on my Q5 and I love it. Shines like crazy. Very hydrophobic. I dry my car with a leaf blower. Water just blows off. I went with Opticoat over CQuartz due to longer expected life for Opticoat.

You can have it done or DIY. I did opticoat 2.0 with opti-gloss as a second coat. Either way a coating like opticoat or c quartz is the way to go, way better than a wax.

I also did the optigloss... nice..

I dont believe it is necessary with the newest Opticoat product (which I dont recall the name of it).

I think PPF is definitely worth it. Nobody likes paint chips.

For ceramic coatings, I love it on my car, but a big factor for me is that I don't have the access or time to regularly wash and wax the car myself. If you have the time to follow a good paint care regimen, then it's not really necessary (but still nice to have).

FYI the products available to authorized installers are a professional grade and different from what's available off-the shelf.

I have C Quartz finest on my Roush and LOVE it !! It was done about 1 1/2 years ago and I have only washed it 5 times. It is so easy to take care of too. I also dry my car with an electric leaf blower. When we went and picked it up from the detailer my wife thought it was a different car because it was SO shiny.

Not the best picture, but you can get a idea of the shine

Worth every dollar I spent to have it done !!

CQuartz UK was applied to our '15 Q5 just over two years. Its durability is proving to be excellent on that vehicle.

I've had Opti-Coat Pro Plus on my A6 for 4 years and it still looks great. I just had some body work done and my long time detailer has switched to Ceramic Pro. He's convinced me to remove the Opti-Coat and replace it. He claims it's as good as Opti-Coat for shedding water and dirt but with a higher gloss. Getting it done next week so I'll see how it goes.

The pro plus is good combination of the 2.0 and the new gloss.
