Thanks all for your valuable inputs.
Should I get Opticoat pro+ only or with Xpel Ultimate PPF?
In that case Opti-Coat PRO be applied on top of paint protection film or other way round?

IMHO it's worth doing both if you're planning the keep the car for a while.

You want the film installed first and then whichever coating you go with put on over that.

I just dropped in to a local detail shop and was quoted $2200 for Ceramic Pro for my SQ5. Seems very high...

I'm not familiar with Ceramic Pro, but given that CQuartz and OptiCoat applications in my area are in the $800-900 range from a quality installer with a single stage paint correction, $2200 seems hard to justify.

That does seem high to me also....

The paint on my Roush was real bad and my detailer had to do a 2 stage correction. It was no where near 2200.

That may be ok if it includes paint correction. I opted to DIY since I still had some 2.0 (added gloss over it). Probably not as good as pro plus but, at a cost of ~150 for both and 8hrs of my time (correction, application and I like doing it) that is the direction I went. Ultimately surface prep is the key.

It depends on how many coats. Ceramic Pro is designed to be layered with increasing amounts of deep gloss and a longer warranty. Four or more coats of Ceramic Pro 9H could get that high in cost. A single cost of Ceramic Pro 9H topped with a layer of Ceramic "Light" should run around $800-$1000 or so for full car, paint prep and wheels. Optic-Coat Pro with the added Plus layer would be at least that (the Plus layer adds about another $400 to the OC Pro).

My installer who has lots of experience with both and CQuartz feels a single coat of Ceramic Pro 9H with the Light layer should equal Opti-Coat Pro Plus in protection with higher gloss and a longer life than Cquartz.

That doesn't make sense. Ceramic paint protection coatings are applied on top of film. If you go with Xpel Ultimate, it has the same clear coat layer as the car's paint. Having paint protection underneath film negates it's purpose not to mention the film may not adhere properly over the long haul. I would be wary of a detailer that doesn't know this.
