You won't be disappointed.
Having had an '05 S4, I have no doubt I'd love the SQ5!

As for what to do with yours, it all depends on you and what you're looking for. Seems like you don't drive it much and you've already got a facelift, so seems like it'd be worth holding onto unless you really wanted an S or TDI (something that wasn't available until 2014).

Thanks for the input. I'm in no rush at this point because I'm happy with my 3.0T. I just want to have all the info to figure out what's best financially. I had a 2 year old 3.2L that I traded for the 3.0T. Made a deal to pay nothing and keep my monthly payment the same. I really just extended the payment - and got the face lift and new motor.

Financially it's probably almost always a bad bet to trade in so quickly, but with something like a car it's a place that some of us have to be a lot of the time and so getting something that's ideal (or close to it) helps make the commute better. 3.2 -> 3.0T was probably a good trade what with the carbon complaints on the 3.2 and going from pre-facelift to facelift (so you get the newer look and any of the minor tweaks that came in as part of the facelift). Trading again at this point would probably make less sense, but if you fell in love with the S or TDI (which weren't available before) then you can at least make a case for it.

First post on AudiWorld and I'm bumping an old thread...

I drove an SQ5 over the weekend and made my decision. It's amazing. I planned on ordering a 2015 wanting to avoid the possibility of getting batch #1 from the new Mexican plant.

But the Audi sales guy said that the new plant was no where close to production and 2016 SQ5's would definitely be German cars made in Germany.

And... the build sheets would be out May/June... so I could order a 2016 in a few months.

Does this sound right? I'm in no hurry to buy.

Good luck with your decision, you have some time to time to gather more intel. I think the ordering window closed last year mid-April.

Whenever they tell you your order will come in, expect it a few months after that.

The 2015 Q5 build sheet came out mid April (16th I think) of 2014... the dealership recently printed me a copy and that was the date on the sheet (April 2014).

The salesman said that he expected to see the 2016 Q5 build sheet mid April... so that matches the timing last year.
