Default Lunar silver Nappa maintenance.

I'm considering Lunar silver seat for my next Q5 and was wondering if, being a light color, they need regular maintenance? I currently have black leather and I never had to clean them, They still look brand new ater 2 years.

From my experience with light colored seats, you will see dye transfer from clothing you are wearing. Blue jeans are notorious for bleeding blue onto light colored seats.

I've owned my black/lunar silver sq5 for about 5 months now and I haven't noticed any jeans staining (and I wear jeans to work most days). The bottom seat bolster is the part of the seat that would rub the most and that is the black part on my seat.

My wife's jeans often bleed onto the leather in our Lexus. However, the dye transfer does come off with regular cleaning (when I wash the car). Not a major issue.

Wife's new SQ5 has Lunar Silver Nappa interior. Only a few weeks old but no major transfer noticed thus far even with jeans. Seats are wiped down once a week with damp micro fiiber cloth. We had same concerns as well but so far no issues.

It is recommended to clean and apply conditioner to natural leather every 2-3 months in the manual. "Dirt is still there even if you don't see it" it says. Also conditioner protects from ultraviolet. When I clean seats of wife's Q5, I'm always surprised how much dirt I get on sponge/wipes.
