I had purchased chinese clip off fleaby for a couple of bucks few months ago. It fit with some difficulty but once it did, its holding pretty solid (A4B8).

I never did follow up on this. The clip installed easily and works fine. For $9, it's just peachy.

Yes. It is covered under the original warranty and took my service person at the dealer about 5 min. to fix. I also purchased a replacement clip on eBay for $7.99 to have on hand should it happen again and I don't want to go into the dealer. The service tech said to place your hand behind it for more support when clicking it back into place, and that it eventually would snap off again, but it would last longer :/ He stated it was a safety feature for it to be weak. I read this someplace else as well, but it still sounds like bs.
