Default Someone stole my newly purchased q5. No shock or tilt sensor?

Or so I thought... Here's the quick story:

I went to the supermarket on a Wed afternoon to pick up a couple things. I was in the store for maybe 15 min tops. When I exited the store and went into the parking lot, my car was nowhere to be found.

I searched for 20 min or so with a dumb look on my face. I called my wife, upset, thinking the impossible. Someone took the car, but how? I have the advanced key, didn't leave the doors unlocked, and definitely didn't leave it unlocked and running with the key in the car.

So I called the cops. They search the parking lot for a bit, and don't find it. Towards the end of their search, here comes my car on a tow truck back into the parking lot!

Upset, I yell at the driver "WHAT THE HELL!??" He apologized immediately and said there was a misunderstanding with a Korean fellow that didn't speak English very well. Basically, there was another black q5 right around the corner that also needed to be towed. What are the changes of that happening again?

So after that debacle I was left scratching my head. I guess it doesn't have a shock or tilt sensor for the alarm? Bummer.

Anyone know if at least some of this mod will work? http://www.audienthusiasts.com/Project_Alarm.html

Audi has a system of protection of the engine in 4 points.
If all four points in same time not coincide comes to immobilizer system

No one has mastered the system of protection

Try to lock the door with remote control while you are in the car and then try to open the door -- It is impossible to open the door

Sorry for my english

How did they tow it or drag it onto he flat bed in park. I would think something may have been damaged. I had a car that was loaded on to a flat bed that required it to be jacked up and rollers placed under each wheel. But this took almost an hour!

Yeah, that's fine if someone if trying to start the car and take it, but not if they are towing it.

The rear wheels were on rollers that also jacked them off of the ground. Luckily they knew it was awd.

From towing there is no protection

The Q5 alarm is garbage. The stock beep beep beep sucks.

You have a good story to tell after you calm down and ensure no damage

We had a similar OMG moment when we were working for Bell Helicopter in Tehran, Iran a LONG time ago...

Was playing tennis at the local club and get a call from the wife who had taken a few friends shopping...
in a blonde paniced voice - She says "I lost the car !!!!"...
I assumed she meant control and had a wreck - I ask if everyone is ok ?

She says NO - I LOST the car - it's gone ?!?
ok - you totaled it - not good, but all are ok....

NO NO NO she explains,
it wasn't were they thought they left it on the street...
well, if she were alone, I'd have guessed blonde moment...
but the others with her confirmed...

went down there to pick them up and found a cop who spoke enough English to say a dignitary was coming through and so they decided just to tow all the cars a couple blocks off the main street

(FYI - No blondes were injured in the making of.... and SHE tells more blonde jokes then me )
