I went on a long trip to orlando. When I was nearing jacksonville there was two thunderstorm, I am pretty sure my fog lights were on when it all started near savannah georgia. I got light malfunction indicator. I am back at my dealership and he found that the left front fog light glass had cracked as if a stone hit it. The dealership quoted ($174, whole assembly needs replaced) for parts and $125 for labor for at total of $309. Sounded expensive. Later I checked with sunset audi (online) for the same assembly, they quoted $81 for my car. He said it should not cost more than $110 at the dealership. Should I just get the part from sunset audi and use independent autobody to replace it?

Buy the part and you can do it yourself....pull off the black housing and the fog light is held in with 3 screws

should be only 2 screws you can get it roughly around $70 each

Can some one verify whether this part (8T0-941-699-B) is also applicable to 2014 Q5 TDI. The link below shows up for 3.2L engine (GAS).
