LOL, yeah been there, done that with crab grass taking over my fescue, but I have higher expectations with the zoysia. Also since I put down some good topsoil to keep the grass happier and less susceptible to crabgrass. And I'll do my pre-emergent maintenance to protect my new investment as well

Here's some shots of the patio going in:

I used a 100' tape measure to lay out some thoughts I had for a patio to see how the size would end up:

My design:

Previously when we had good fescue grass in the spring before crabgrass took over in the summer (pre-shed also):

And then as the prep for the sod:

Previously did some similar stuff around front of house and trees as well:

Measured a radius from tape wrapped around tree to get perfect circle, already knowing how many blocks would fit nicely into a circle at my desired size:

Did the same on tree #2:

and Tree #3:

And front of house:

I really enjoyed the landscaping pics too. While the winter shot was beautiful, it reminded me of what's coming,

I've shut the sprinkler system down, the snow blower is in the shop for a needed repair, furnace checked and serviced, additional insulation blown in earlier and getting ready for a final coat of wax on the cars. Bummer...
