Filler plate/License plate bracket spontaneously falling apart?
Weirdest thing. Two days ago I did not notice this but today a spot on my front filler plate caught my eye. Appears the high gloss finish is stripping off. It doesn't appear I've been hit or sustained any damage to the area or localized to the spot itself. I was in for my 45k last week and I figured I'd head back tomorrow while I still have warranty left to see if they would do anything about it. I know its a roll of the dice but considering there is no evidence of scratches or neglect to the area. Anyone else have the high gloss just spontaneously molt like this?
I attached some photos any small spots you see in the photos are from towel drying and are towel remnants. Yeah I know should be using microfiber but I'm at work and have access to regular towels only right.

You are not alone. This has happened to many of us, you'll find other threads here discussing at length.
The gist is that your dealer will fix under warranty. But it's only temporary. The replacement panels are the same, and evebtually start peeling as well. Several have had the panel replaced multiple times.

And thanks for the Input all very glad I'm not alone. Pulled in advisor looked right at it and turned around ordered the part told me to come back Monday and I was out in 3 minutes. I'm really happy about how easy this round was. Fingers crossed no more issues 50k is rapidly approaching

Once replaced, try a wrap
After having one replaced recently, I removed it and had a clear bra material cut and applied-should not be very much for just this piece.
Am hopeful this will solve the issue.

Mine was just replaced on my '15 TDI with 15K miles at the Audi care service. Service advisor first said that the "trim" warranty is just 12m/12K but they'd cover it??? Really? On mine, it peeled just below the two front sensors, from the lower edge of the circle down. Having said this, I don't know if a clear bra would have kept it from peeling since you still have to maintain the air gap. It might hold the "peeled paint" intact but water would still continue to get behind it. Poor adhesion obviously. I've only power washed the car four times in one year/15K miles. I hand wash it all the time and told the service advisor this. Let's see how long this one holds up.

My guess is that the holes for the front parking sensors are drilled after the panel is painted. Hence the peeling begins there because the paint is cut.

If there were painted after the holes are drilled, then when then install the sensors they cut the paint. I tend to think like you do. Since the same panel is used for all trim levels, they probably drill it afterward.
