Default 2010 Q5 Delivery Delay Information

Does anyone have information if and why 2010's are being held at the ports?

Is this true? If so, do we know why?

I have one on order and it was supposed to be delivered Aug 27th. I am getting a lot of hedging from my dealership as to what is really going on.

Many thanks,

Mark.

I must say that I feel like buying a new Q5 has been the most painful car buying experience of my young life. Since their sales are so high, I feel like most dealers are just not that interested unless you are willing to pay MSRP or want a car on the lot Hopefully you'll get your car soon.

In the meantime I am considering an MDX, no hassle and about 8k less for a fully loaded car.

Where are you at? Mine is supposed to arrive at the dealer the week of Sept 14 - haven't heard (or asked for) any updates, so hoping there won't be any further delays. I was supposed to get my car a couple of weeks ago, but somehow there was a mix-up at the port which caused the car to be routed to New Jersey. Bummer but the dealer threw in the B&O sound system for free on the new order to make up for the delay. For clarification - neither were custom orders. The first one was a car with the specs I wanted that was already allocated to my dealer (or so I was told). The current one I've got reserved was headed for another dealer but my dealer said they worked something out with AoA to make up for the previous mix-up.

there's recall on all Q5's with navi... thats what my dealer told me... my car was on its way over from the port before it was redirected to the regional holding lot. supposedly the recall material isn't even out yet; they're just holding all the cars. My dealer said atleast 2 weeks if not longer

Do you have any info on the nav recall? Does it affect all 09 and 2010 Q5?

Finally talked to my dealer yesterday. The car is on the truck and should arrive at dealership early next week.
