No roof racks used. 93 octane going. 91 octane returning. 95+ percent highway driving at speeds between 65 and 75. Cruise control on 50 percent of the time.
Similar experience here - 1000 mile round-trip through the mountains from NC to Kentucky.
Ended up at 30mpg right on the nose (hand-calculated, 31.7 according to trip computer).
Car was loaded up with 4 people + stuff, no roof racks.
93 octane both ways, speeds 65-75 with only a few short detours off highway.

2012 P+, averaging about 25mpg, mostly highway.

Default first road trip

We took our 2013 2.0 on it's first road trip - Atlanta to Chicago and back.

Four tank-fulls:
23.9
23.5
24.7
24.7

Three people plus luggage. Lots and lots of running in the high 70s. AC on 3/4 of the time. Had significant headwinds about 1/4 of the time. Trip computer generally had mileage 1 - 1.5 mpg higher than actual - which isn't too bad...

Initially that seems kind of low, but considering the # of passengers, speed and headwinds maybe not so bad overall. I would hope that under different conditions the mpg's would be higher.

Can you explain the difference between "23.2" in your reply, but "22.0" in the image?
