Q5 brakes... Brembo?
I was reading the Automobile Magazine review of the SQ5 and read this:
The brakes are even more sensitive. Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers were part of the standard Q5's facelift for 2013, and the SQ5 finds 10 percent more brake surface area, with 15-inch front rotors, and adds larger, painted front calipers.
I couldn't find information validating this claim. Does the Q5 have Brembo brakes?

2014 3.0T SQ5 have 2-pot calipers 380mm dia. front rotors.
Interestingly the 4-pot front calipers bolt directly onto and replace the b8S4 2-pot front calipers and are available through Alex at Europrice.
I was ready to pull this plug on my b8 but traded it on my Q5 TDI.
It's been done by several members in the Euro and Russian Audi community.

Very interesting information, but Audi electronic spare parts catalog shows something different
Exist two models of 345mm: Girling TRW (model 1LJ) - old version and the new version BREMBO (model 1LE, 1LP)

Calling U.S. 2014 TDI owners; front brake visual check/question.
Spijun--
See this picture I snapped of a 2014 Q5 TDI front brake. I was at the dealer for service and saw a Q5 TDI with large TDI decals on the side--like 10+" high on the lower front door area. Seemed unusual so I looked a little further. Standard interior. Then I noticed the brakes; having done the RS5 upgrade on mine a few weeks previously, I notice brakes. See picture. The license plate on the rear was a Michigan plate, so I guessed it was an Audi USA vehicle making the dealer rounds for some reason.
At the time I couldn't figure out the brakes, so I guessed it was maybe a non-stock one off or test mule of some type on a manufacturer vehicle. But w/ this post reply, maybe not. Notice the transfer tube/metal brake line down at the bottom and the bleed screw up on the top. The lower line is where you can see the nut that screws it in to the caliper. That tells me there are pistons on the outside (since the fluid would first enter the cylinder/piston area from the rubber brake line on the inside and then go through this tube to the outside pistons; pretty standard way to reach the outer pistons these days). Plus, it wouldn't have a bleed screw on that side unless there was fluid there in the piston area. The elongated oval shape of the outer part of the caliper also suggests two pistons on that side, though sometimes that shaping is just a design element. FWIW, the rotor appeared the same as the "usual" Q5; it did not have the aluminum center hat area in a semi floating design like you would see on an SQ5 or many RS fitments up front.
So, for 2014 Q5 TDI owners, do your brakes up front look like these in the picture, particularly with that outside bleed screw up top and the metal transfer tube/brake line running along the bottom from inside to outside of the brake caliper? If so, these would be more like the Q7 brakes up front, and different than the other Q5's.

Try pulling up a Hybrid then maybe
See this picture. These are the USA 2013 Hybrid. Built in 5/13, right near the end of the production run. These are the ones I thought were more generalized for all but the base 2.0T; 345mm rotors. Notice the absence of either the fluid transfer tubing or a brake bleeder valve up high on the outside of the caliper.
Does the Hybrid have the "older" TRW-Girling fitment in that case, since your EKTA picture is definitely not a match to what I had on the 2013 Q5 w/ 345mm rotors before I put on the RS5 brakes?
Meanwhile, to address OP's first post, can you show the portion of the 3.0 TDI diagram and parts listing dealing with the pistons/seals in the caliper? (it was cut off before that part # on your earlier reply). There should be a repair kit if it's like most Audi brake calipers I have had over the years. The total parts count there will tell us how many pistons there actually are. It will should be one of quantity 1, 2 or 4 depending on the actual caliper construction, unless they put multiple sets in one part number/box.
