I haven't experienced the surging on cruse control (NA 2009 Q5) but I haven't had the software update either.

Like EDWYUN showed the direction, it would be better if Q5 users could identify did their car have latest software update (released August 09) and did their cruise develop surge issue.

s-tronic

It seems Audi have 2 issues then.......

the initial post is the problem I and others have in the UK/Europe with the s-tronic gearbox and the normal accelerator - I dont think you have the s-tronic in NA

You also seem to have a problem with cruise control in NA

Oh dear, Audi have got a few teething problems to sort out......

2016 Q5 surge issue

I have a 2016 Audi Q5 and recently was involved in a serious single-car accident. I was parking my car and moved my foot to brake when the car surged forward over a couple of boulders through the trees flipping once and rolling down an embankment. I, miraculously, came out of the incident unscathed. Three weeks earlier my brother-in-law borrowed my car and said I should have the car checked because it surged forward on him also when he went to brake. I dismissed his comments, thinking he just wasn’t used to my car. Turns out there may have been something wrong. Has anyone heard/experienced a similar incident?
