I have to agree. It seemed a bit gimmicky but it's actually quite nice to not have to lift the gate with my hands full.

Only wish it would close when I lock the car.

Dare I bring the RX350 into this mix, what do you guys think? Is the ride and handling of the RX350 comparable to the Q5? Feature wise I think the Lexus offers more than the Q5, but correct me if I am wrong.

The best thing to do is drive them back to back a couple of times and see which you prefer and which meets your needs.
