Kind of hard to tell in your pic but it does not look like you have the front sensors on yours. Does the plate filler have the holes for the sensors? The reason I ask is because I may be selling my license plate holder and it has the sensor holes. Just curious if they all have that or if there are actually two different holders.

Any chance of some pics of your Q5 ? i ordered Quartz grey as well and I haven’t seen too many good pics on the web, i would appreciate if you can help me out

Cars with sensors have different panel part number, looks same but with sensor locations. First panel was weird as box showed non sensor part number but in the box was panel with sensors so they had to re-order and finally I got mine.

Though as I wanted plain black S-line (normal is with 2 crome stripes) I had to modify panel to make it go to the grill as S-line grill holes are bigger than normal...

OK, thanks, good to know about the sensors. I had assumed, apparently incorrectly, that all Q5's had the sensors. I'll make sure whoever I sell my license plate holder to has the sensors.

Interesting that yours does not have the silver stripes like mine does. Maybe that is the difference between the ones with sensors and the ones without sensors.

Fitz, yours is the "normal" one that was also meant to mine. S-line does not have stripes but as S-line grill holes are bigger, its panel does not fit without little modification...



As can be seen, normal grill haves twice as many bars compared to S-line

Fitz, no worries and I'm just happy it worked out as I had 50/50 chance either it works or it doesn't
