^ I was told the problem was mostly on the 09 and 10 models. Mine was a 2010 and about 30 000km when the check engine light came on.
Not too sure if they drop the engine or not. Will ask tomorrow when I pick up the car.

Popular refused (that's where I lease the car from). Lauzon is where I'm having it clean. I lease my old A4 Avant from them and always had good service. Maybe I'll go back with them.

Ok, drop off the car on Monday. It was ready for Thursday but I pick it up on Friday. It wasn't carbon built up after all. It was the fuel pump and something about my gas tank door.
How can two different dealership get different fault codes readings? Don't tell me that the first one that I went to saw the oil catch can and they didn't even bother checking further. Cause if that's the case, they're complete morons!!

Well, it doesn't look like I will have to deal with the carbon build up monster anytime soon. Sold the Q5. I will let the next guy deal with it. Back to BMW for me. Leave for a Euro Delivery next week!

Hi
I just wanted to bump this up for others who are looking for info on this issue.
I have a 2010 q5 and it had all 6 injectors at approximately 25,000Km and I just had it in for the 55000km service this week. We have started getting the stalling/hard to start issue happen to the Q for the past 1000km and they looked into it. What they found was that it needed another 6 new injectors and there was carbon build up on the intake valves. I'm not too impressed about replacing 12 injectors in a span of 1.5 years. Ive called Audi Canada a logged a complaint on the problems I've been having with the carbon build up. From talking to the rep, it seems that they know about this problem but there is no real solution. So all 3.2 owners will be plagued with this problem for the life of the vehicle.

2011 3.2 Q5 here. Had all 6 injectors replaced twice within the first year of ownership. Seems to be running well now with 22,000km on it. Dealership had told us they changed the injector design or something.... ?

twice!!! I think that's too much. May I ask if you use high tier gas or not? and also what is your driving pattern? is it only city driving with stop and go or what? Thanks.
