Removing the headlight switch ****?
I thought it would be easy to mold a new headlight switch ****, so that a left knee couldn't shut the automatic headlights. Except...
I grabbed the **** with both hands and pulled really firmly, thinking it must just pull off. Nope. The entire switch assembly pulls out of the dash, but the **** stays on.
Is there a trick to getting just the **** off, and leaving the switch in the dash?

Yes, in some slang it IS a euphemism for a certain body part.
I've seen corporate nannyware that wouldn't allow email talking about "AC/DC circuit breakers" because, you know, AC/DC just might refer to deviant sexual preferences. And AOL used to ban all underage access to pages referring to Sydney(?) Australia, because it was "the" gay capital of Oz, with a major annual Gay Pride Day parade.
When in doubt, put the computer on a windowsill. Upper floor. And SWEAR that you didn't push it, it jumped out.
There will be better software on the next one.
