dunno, SnagIt. Used to be that all speedometers could be calibrated, and that was required for folks like the highway patrol before they could clock you to write up a ticket.
Unless ALL of the Audi wheel and tire options wind up being the exact same diameter, they also have to have some way to calibrate. On some cars, that's done by changing a speedometer gear but I'd expect these are using hall sensors and magnets or some other digital non-contact counter, which is easily adjusted in software.
Tirerack shows 235/60-18 and 235/55-19 both as OEM sizes. If I get my math right, that works out to:
60% of 235mm => 141mm of tire height, 282mm of extra diameter on the 18" (457mm) wheel...total diameter of 282+457 => 739mm. Circumference of 2321.6mm
55% of 235 => 129.25, times 2 => 258.5mm, added to 19" (483mm), that's 258+483 => 741.5 mm. Circumference of 2329.5mm.
So the stock 18" and 19" packages probably would not need a calibration change since that's less than a half percent difference, and a lower profile 20" still might not. Tirerack shows a 22" set using 255/35, talk about LOW profile tires.

I have a set of 20 x 9" Hartmann RS4 / RS6 reps on my Q5: I think they look great! Zero issues driving: they feel and look just like OEM wheels. Probably not the lightest option out there, but they'll be around for a long time

I'll try and get some pictures to post over the next day...

I'm pretty sure that my tires are 255mm x 20" x 45: they're Michelin Lattitude Sports.

I was slightly incorrect in my wheel link: here are the actual wheels (correct colour and offset):
