Quick follow-up: Thanks to all for the guidance. Placed my order on Friday and the waiting game begins!

The dealer couldn't close the price gap enough on a Prestige so I went with a Premium Plus, Estoril Blue on Black/Chestnut, MMI, B&O, side assist, 21" wheels, and the black/alu inlays.

Hoping I don't miss the other stuff too much, but I came in comfortably in the $50's, so I can't complain. Should arrive late March.

What do all the above adjustments do to exhaust sound if anything? I am ready to purchase a 2016 SQ5 and I have been told I can "dial down" the loud exhaust noise if I choose to. Is that an accurate statement?

Much of the exhaust noise is face via the speakers (sound aktuator), you can either unplug it or control the intensity via vag-com. I believe the engine setting in the ADS controls to a degree how much exhaust noise you have in the cabin and how much is generated outside of the car via the flaps at the tail pipes.

The driver assist package is the best feature of our Q5. We wanted it badly enough to order and wait the 4 months for the car. It is a rare option. We use cruise control quite often and now that we have used adaptive cruise, getting into a car that has standard cruise control just seems primitive. Don't forget that you also get Audi Braking guard which is a great safety feature! As far as the Dynamic Steering, it is AMAZING! A lot of people are confusing this option with what the Drive Select can change. You can get Drive Select in a Q5 with and without the driver assist package. Both systems will provide steering settings. In the non driver assist car, the steering setting will just "stiffen" the wheel a little for a more sporty feel. In the Dynamic steering car it will not only stiffen the wheel for a more sporty feel, but it will also keep the steering ratio at a 1:1. Dynamic steering only refers to the cars ability to change its steering ratio depending on the speed the car is traveling. After having this feature in our Q for almost a year now, I drove a Q5 without it and it felt like I was driving a bus. You may not notice a difference when you first get it, but when you try to go back to a car without it, it's very noticeable and you will want to spec it on all of your future vehicles if it's offered. Just my .02
