Fan Noise after shutting vehicle off ???

Hey.

Wife noticed this within first week of ownership & I did not verify. I've now returned from a short trip and the vehicle is making a "Fan Noise" after vehicle is shut down.

Is there some kind of cooling fan or similar on diesel engines?
