From day of delivery, (May 20, 2010)I had the slow speed(5 mph or less) steering wheel shudder on my 2010 Q5. Dealer today (11-11-10) replaced the metal power steering hose with a flex hose, part # 8K1422893CJ, just as done per other forum posts. I was with tech when he was advised by Audi Tech Line that there is not yet, a TSB for the Q5 (there is for the A-4) but it will be issued soon. My tech was sent the 5 page, A-4, TSB,#2020332/4 and told to order the same flex hose for use on the Q5. I have a hard copy of that TSB. The flex hose was installed. Dealer tech tested and was satisfied shudder no longer present. I then tested vehicle myself and I agree. Not sure how long the flex hose work took. However,I had a 5K service done along with that and I was out in about 2 hours.

I have the same problem with my A6 2010 3.0 Quattro S-Line
Audi dealer said that there is nothing wrong with the car, just as expected, nevertheless I want to give it a try with changing the power steering hose so Does anybody know the power steering hose part number for my car or a TSB For it ??

Visiting the Audi Parts department, and checking the respective steering hose (flex) parts diagram for my Q5 and comparing this with the revised part no, is what I have done:

Respective part nos:
For my Q5: 8R2-422-893-AD (this is for RHD Q5)
For A4:8K1-422-893-DP

So it should be similar to these part nos, but not the same.

I dont think it is easy to find the TPI, because it may not exist. E.g. I searched the ERWIN database and I did not find the TPI (shudder at low speed) for my Q5. Having in mind the TPI for the A4, which fixes the same issue, the Audi parts department, searched to find the revised part no for my Q5 (steering flex hose).

The revised steering flex hose applies only to servotronic steering.
