Audi has some new info out on the media center. https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/en/...s/audi-q5-6495
While it is not USA specific, there are tons of photos and graphics, as well as the below document that details the features of the new Q5.

"new" Quattro technology?
What do we know, if anything, about how Audi may be changing the functionality and mechanics of the Quattro system in the new Q5? I asked an Audi representative at the LA Auto Show this weekend and it sounds that it may be becoming more "reactive" like the second best systems used by BMW, Mercedes, etc. as opposed to the more "pro active" Quattro systems we have been accustomed to where the power to the wheels contributes to the handling of the vehicle at all times...is this consistent with what others have heard or understand?...

Yeah, Quattro "Ultra" as they call it. (I thought Ultra meant better? ) Best case people won't notice much difference, worst case it's just crappier than the current system. All that to increase MPG by like 0.1.
It's in the B9 A4 Allroad I think, but not in the regular B9 A4 for some reason. People are speculating that it'll only be on the 2.0T Q5 and bigger engines will keep rear-wheel drive Quattro.

Here is all you need to know about the new system, and a few things you didn't want to know. Don't let the thread title influence you either way.

factory
Not sure I want to buy a car that is the first year in a brand new factory in a new country (Mexico). I wouldn't have bought the first year BMW X5 from South Carolina either....asking for trouble (and, I've had 2 now - beautiful cars each)...
And - I'm tired of the PC liberal bull**** from corporations like this...
The new plant was built according to applicable Audi standards, and this also applies to sustainability and environmental protection. These areas were key focal points in planning. The production site is wastewater-neutral thanks to its mechanical, chemical and biological process water treatment facility. The same principle applies to CO2 emissions from production (CO2 neutrality). In the neighboring community of San José Ozumba, the company has already planted more than 100,000*trees over 100 hectares of land, thereby contributing to replenishment of groundwater reserves.
Maybe the Germans should stop smoking cigarettes by the carton...and worry less about planting trees around a factory. Just saying...
