Default fake exhaust tips

Ok, so everyone is aware of the "fake" quad exhaust outlets, how much does this bug the prospective buyers on this forum? It is literally the only thing that doesn't have me completely sold on the car.. do the fake outlets pose a problem to you guys??

Well, my mom who has a Q5 is happy about the change because there's no more exhaust tips to clean, so they'll always look chrome.

Yes, most people outside of this forum really don't care.

Doing this every month or so really isn't fun.

It won't take long and an aftermarket exhaust conversion will be available for those that want the real thing.

Having the exhaust tips turn down 90 degrees toward the ground is fine by me.

The other Euro mfrs seem to be doing this as well - - it's not exclusive to Audi. I've been behind several late model MBzs with the same phony set up. I can see it reducing mfg costs and helping to keep things "cleaner" in terms of the staining at the outlet.

Phoney parts added for styling - it's been going on for a long time.

Like Buicks port holes in the front fenders. Like front wheel drive cars with rear spoilers. Like hoods with scoops that are blanked off. Like front bumpers with brake cooling scoops that go nowhere. Even Tesla has a phoney front grill because people expect to see one. Most people won't notice.
