Just FYI, I ordered the OEM bars at the same time as the new car, then when they arrived I was horrified - they are very ugly and very high. Bought a set of Whispbars and never looked back, and the dealer took back the OEM bars.
No question - the Whispbars and the deal - well made, easy to fit, virtually silent, low profile, elegant, and sit about 2' lower than the OEM items.

Which set of Whisbars? The flush bar or the through bar?

Installed the Thule aero blade kit a few months ago and it is very well made. No wind noise at all, even at 85mph. I got the all black kit to match the shadow trim of the S-line. Looks sweet.

I have the Whisbar flush bar system on mine and am very happy with them. Quiet and decent looking. I like that Whispbar offers a nice variety of attachments so I can carry my bike, skis, cargo, etc. I have brushed alum roof rails and it matches like OEM.

I have the Whispbar Flush Bar. They actually look as if they were designed for the vehicle - much better than the OEM version, which have gaps at the fittings and look as if they were designed by someone who never got to actually see the vehicle he was working on.

I should have added that I have the flush bars because I wanted to carry a Yakima Skybox and did not need the additional width that the throughbars give you. I do however have a set of Thule aerobars, with Thule 450R rapid crossroad feet that I bought for a Honda Odyssey Touring (that I've just replaced with an allroad). The Thule aerobars + rapid crossroad combination is excellent - well-designed, well-made, easy-to-use and good-looking. I can recommend the Yakima, box, the whispbar crossbars and the Thule fittings...

I can also recommend RackAttack - the guys there know what they're talking about, get the stuff out on time, and the prices are very reasonable.

Do they allow enough room to be able to open the pano roof?

Pano roof has room to open with the box. May be an issue with the ski rack loaded. The bindings do get close to the roof.
