There is too much wind noise to be worth considering really, I have tried it!

I second that - the sunroof tilts and opens fully with the Whispbars and box in place. I have no experience with other fittings, such as ski racks, etc.

There is a bit more wind noise, it's true, mainly from the funneling effect of the box, but that is the case with whatever cross bars and box you have, so for me it's not an issue.

found these Rhino Racks for my new 2015 Q7 !
Just put em on fit is very nice.

These were less than $300 complete & delivered. Super easy to order no separate parts to buy.

Have yet to take them High speed but the do have all the necessary strips and plugs to cover any holes and slots.

Dumb question, but can I use the Audi bike carrier attachment and ski/snowboard attachment with the Whispbar cross rails? Thanks
