Default 2009 Q7 has intermittent lights on the tail gate
2009 Q7 has intermittent lights on the tail gate. There is no pattern to it. What're your thoughts?
The bulbs are good.

Look at the metal tabs, corrosion get in and cause erratic behavior. Just sand down the tabs a little and bend them just a little.

Also, make sure you are using the correct bulb. Just because it fits (1156, not correct) doesn't mean it is correct (7506L). System seems to be pretty picky when it comes to bulbs.

Default The right side of each taillight does not turn on.
Which metal tabs are you referring to? I checked the sensor by the aluminum sill where the latch goes in and nothing seems to be corroded.

He's referring to the contacts for the bulbs themselves...
