Default 2010 Q7 3.6 Small Coolant Leak

Hi!

I'm new here. I should probably post in the introduction forum (if there is one). Short backstory: I'm a BMW guy, but my wife owns a 2010 Audi Q7 3.6L with the premium package. So, I'm a bit new to Audis. I do most of the work on the cars, and I find Audis to be, erm, "annoyingly engineered" to put it lightly. Changing the oil filter comes to mind...

Anyway, enough light bashing. I was in the midst of tracing the leak from sunroof drains and A-pillar and happened to have the hood open to make sure the car's computer was still dry. I got a big whiff of coolant under the hood toward the front, and noticed a bunch of white, dried coolant that splattered all over the passenger side components (air filter box, some other hoses, etc.). Mostly, the dried coolant was on a hose that leads up to the reservoir tank. The tank is full and the car has been running at normal temperature. I see the coolant is very slowly trickling down the passenger side of the radiator.

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe a similar problem? Is it a cracked radiator or maybe just the connector for the hose leading up to the reservoir tank?

Any help is appreciated. Have a great one!

Coolant tanks on Audi's are notorious for cracks, I'd check there first.

Update to this thread: I found where the leak is. It's for sure coming from a small hose that connects to the passenger side of the radiator on the top. It's coming right from that connection.

Is this hose just a tiny two foot long thing or is it one of the $120 hoses that run the length of the front of the car? The diameter is about the size of a nickel.

Final update: I fixed the leak with some hose from Advanced Auto. Super easy fix. The leak was getting rather bad.
