Those of you with the latest Q7 and Navigation... Please tell me what your Firmware/Version is. The dealer is telling me mine is the newest (5.5.5) but I have seen 5.5.6 loaded on others. Please confirm and if there is something newer please let me know. Thanks.

That is not the firmware, but map version

Firmware is the 3 digits on the Software Version series, which is above the Nav database you are quoting.

For 2013 it will be either 609 (latest, but not available to upgrade to yet) or 566.

As far as the Nav map database: There is essentially no difference between 5.5.5 and 5.5.6 from previous reports (just a punctuation bug fix that usually did not cause any problems). There are reports of newer cars getting map database is 5.7.3.

thank you for the clarification... the only reason i am requesting an upgrade is because i do not have "street view" when using google maps... i cannot find any other way to activate it outside of a firmware update.

Yes, 487 is the firmware number and that version does not include streetview. That is the version my '12 Q7 came with. I was having delay and stutter problems with my back up camera and according to the Audi TSB 203044653, that qualified for an upgrade to the 566 version, which also happened to have street view. 609 is the latest, but not yet available for upgrade, only factory installs.

Some (most) dealers are hesitant to upgrade the firmware. I had to keep pressuring them to get it done and it took them an entire day to get my done ???!!!

awesome information, thanks for the head's up... i will say i have the same issue and reference that tsb.

apparently firmware upgrade for the sake of upgrading is out of pocket and not covered by warranty.

Also re Street View, 0609 added an automatic Street View view window of the destination in the map screen when nearing it during navigation (assuming Street View is available for that location).
