Default 2014 Q7 Allignment Issues

Apparently, by buying Q7, you are expected to get new set of tires at every 3000 miles, becasue they are heavy vehicles according to DCH MIllburn Audi of NJ and Audi Customer Service. And, oh, I learned that the Audi does not manufacture tires therefore, it is not their problem. Since I am pretty pissed right now after hanging up the phone with Customer Service telling me that the delaer told me to pound sand, I am not going to get into specultaing that Audi engineers must have no freaking clue when they are choosing suitable tires for the vehicle they design.

which size tires and which brand? have you taken it to a shop that specializes in alignments to see if it's out of whack?

I was too tired and frustrated yesterday evening, having spent my entire day at two Audi specialist and the remaining of the evening on the phone with the Audi CS supervisor to give details.
Wheels are OEM triple five spokes with OEM Dunlops. I do know that the expectation from Dunlops are very low but uneven wear is not same as expected low mileage lifespan. Misalignment spotted by an independent dealer who suggested that I should take it to the Audi since it should not be out whack with such low mileage vehicle. Audi dealer said tough luck. But after some deliberation, them "aligned" it with the 20" Hartmann with Conti DWS tires on it. I had a really bad vibration, I went back to the independent to have the balances to be checked. They checked the alignment and discovered that the alignment was worse than what it is reported on. Some numbers were worse then it started with.
I am going to put Vredesteins on the 21s. There is a thread started for a group buy but no activity and I cannot wait. I have a trip next week to snowy lands.

RARSLAN:

I feel your pain!!
My 2010 TDI was in good alignment until El paso got a hold of it and took it out of wack(I think thier alignment had a software update which might be a fault in the program), starting pulling it to the right big time, over filled my tires too 44psi in FT and 49psi in the rear. When it should have being at 35 psi FT and Rear.
So I down loaded the manual found out that my fuel tank needs to be full, tires at the correct psi, nothing in the Q7 just your spare and jack stuff and all fuilds top off. I don't have the ACC system (Adaptive cruise control) or Lane Assist, I do have 1BW = Comfort suspension USA. So I was able go some where else. After all done I am straight at an arrow. Steering wheel all the way to caster and camber front and rear. I was out in both rear LH/RH and right front which I all ready have known cause of the drafting to the right any way.
Now I am testing my alignment, I will be rotate the tires at every 5,000 (criss cross because it is a Quattro) to see how many miles I can go.

It will take me forever to type all the wrongs they've done at this dealership. They did the alignment when there was a set of wheels and tires in the back weighing probably a good 200+lbs. All I can tell you is they don't give a **** about the customer and the job they do.

You really ought to give the name and location of the dealer; or, at the very least, what city you're in.

Spot on; DCH Millburn Audi. I have no reason to hold it back. According to them, I have a 2010 S5 not the 2013. Service manager looked into my eyes as he apologized for the service writer's error and promised that it will be corrected. As of yesterday, it was not after almost a year.
