Default Nav problem

2013 Q7 - Prestiege Plus, S Line -
For some reason the zoom level on the nav suddenly refuses to stay where I put it. I normally leave it on 200 or 300 yards, but all of a sudden this morning it started reverting to the 1/4 mile setting after about 15 seconds. If I reset it to any other setting, it just goes back to 1/4 mile.
Anyone else encountered this? I understand there's some sort of "reboot" procedure, but most of what I found online appeared to be for a different MMI version & involved using the "setup" key which I don't have.

I think you have it set to auto zoom in the settings.

I set it to zoom only on intersections when I first got it but computers have been known to harass their owners & change settings just for the fun of it
My SA at my dealer gave me the reset procedure & after doing that this morning, it seems to be back to acting like it is supposed to. We'll see if it holds.
Thanks much for the input.
