22" wheels and tires for a 2014 Q7
#31
Finally installed my 22" wheels and tires!
I really like the look after installing aftermarket wheels and tires. Would like for it to sit just a little bit lower though. Yokohama tires ride really nice and exceeded my expectations for now. I was originally concerned with only having 35 as the height of the tire. Of course the brake dust is horrific and I have to constantly whipe the wheels clean. Here is what I installed on my 2014 Q7 TDI Premium Plus:
Wheels: 22"x10.5 XO St Thomas-Concave(Silver w chrome overlay)
Tires: 285/35/22 XL Yokahama Parada Spec X
My next task is to get the calipers painted.

Lower it. A reduction in ride height would bring this entire project together so well and improve the handling but I've always had an issue with the calipers. they're raw. unpainted. they should've come coated from the factory or at least an option to pay for it. I am having mine powder coated when I do the brakes. I can't justify paying for the labor twice just to change color.

I am enjoying my spec X as well. Did the calipers while the tires were getting mounted.
@mixonm23@gmail.com interesting your tires stick out almost identical to mine. Do you have any rubbing on the vent ridges when cranked hard over? I have on one side where the well is bowed out a slight bit on the ridges.
