Anyone ever use generic TPMS?
I found these on ebay but am wary of the generic TPMS system. It's more than 1/2 of the price of the regular ones. Any other leads for other sellers of TPMS?
Thanks,
Scott

??? why do you need those? Doesnt the 2012 Q7 use differential wheel speed to monitor tire deflation via brake sensors instead of those sender units.
Pretty sure they are for older MYs of Q7

interesting. I found this on Audi's website,
http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en/t...S_Systems.html
Does this confirm that there is no tpms unit in the tire? I can simply buy any rim/tire set that fits?

So if I change to different size tire/rims I don't need to worry about needing a TPMS unit anymore? Just install the new rims and go? Sounds so simple.

You go to MMI and reset TPMS for new set. it takes a few minutes to update then you confirm. Just the same as when you want to change your running pressures on existing tyres/tires.
The link provided in sshu's second post does list 2012 Q7 but it is wrong. They may get some sales and the system will still work just the valve units will not serve any function.
