Default Audi Q7 3.6 FSI ATF fluid

Hi Guys, recently bought Audi Q7 3.6 FSI year 2008, need to replace ATF as mileage is 125k KM already. Original ATF from Audi dealer is very Expensive ($70/L) so i was thinking to buy ZF ATF, can anyone tell what ZF should i purchase ? as i was surfing the web and realise there are many types of ZF ATF.
I just dont want to go with wrong ATF and mess the transmission.

Also, want to flush the coolant, how many bottles are required?(buying original from Audi as it is cheap)

Regards

Here is my list I bought. All ZF product.

Qty SKU Product Name Unit Price
1 0AT325429-MFG103 Transmission Filter. $56.89
1 0AT321371-MFG103 Transmission Pan Gasket $48.16
7 G055162A2-MFG103 ATF $22.99
SubTotal: $265.98

I actually used only 6 bottles but it may not be a bad idea to have the 7th just in case. You'd hate to run out. You can pump the new fluid in with the the car off but once it starts to run out, you will need to start the car to pump in another 1-2 bottles, replace the fill plug. Then take it for a short drive going through all the gears. You will then need to get back under the car while it is still running and pump additional fluid until is starts to drip out. Replace the fill plug before shutting the car off.

I did not do the coolant as this was done a few months before I bought the car at the dealer.

Thanks a lot for detailed reply,

well you purchased original Audi ATF G055162A2-MFG103 or ZF equivalent ?
if it was ZF equivalent, was it ZF Lifeguard 6 or ZF Lifeguard 8?

if you purchased online, mind sharing link?

Great info, in another discussion, member "MP4.2+6.0" have mentioned that originally Lifeguard 6+ is used in our vehicle, which is equal to original Audi part number 055 162 a2(blue liquid"

so after changing to lifeguard 8, no issue with tranny?

Per ZF, Lifeguard 8 is the proper fluid on the 6hp19a. http://www.zf.com/global/media/medie...hselkit_EN.pdf

No issues. After about a thousand miles, the transmission shifts are smoother especially 1st to 2nd.

From the research I did, it appeared to me that all 3.6 Q7s used this transmission. Also, when I drained the fluid, it had a green hue like the new fluid I was putting in.
